Las Vegas Nightlife

Rain - Nightclub - Palms - Las VegasLas Vegas is known for opening new clubs and lounges all the time. The nightlife is hopping. The competition in Vegas is very tight, which is great for you.

Some clubs are expansive venues and others are a little bit more intimate, but still have the same things to offer.

Aside from nightclubs, there are a number of lounges where you can watch and listen to live bands and dance the night away. Las Vegas nightlife is mostly for people 21 and over.

Gone are the days where ladies don’t have to pay anything to get in. If you don’t want to wait in line to get in the nightclubs, most places have front-of–the-line passes for $20-$50, an all access pass from $75 and up, and finally the VIP packages from $350 up to $1500 or more. Nowadays everyone pays. Ladies can still get in free and fast at some smaller places though. But if you want to see and bee seen at the best of the best in Vegas, it will take some cash.

Remember ladies and gentlemen, there are dress codes for these high-class venues. Don’t try to show up in a t-shirt and flip-flops. Dress to impress if you want to be noticed. It pays to check the dress code before showing up. Some places are casual and others are “Oscars Dress” style.

Some of the best nightclubs and music lounges in Vegas are mostly located inside big hotels and casinos. Las Vegas is a 24-hour town, so expect to party till the wee hours of the morning.

Here are some of the trendiest nightclubs and lounges in Vegas.

40/40 Club at the Palazzo is a newer venue in town. It is a sports bar and lounge. DJ’s plays a mixture of top 40’s, hip-hop and mash-ups. There’s a cover charge after 11pm.

LAX at the Luxor is a 26,000-square-foot gothic-styled, two-level nightclub, with amazing VIP seatings and DJ’s spinning music that will surely make you want to dance and party all night long and they have the best sound system ever. Dress code is enforced.

Pure at Caesars Palace features three venues: a VIP Room, the Terrace and the Pussycat Lounge. This 36,000-square-foot venue is the hottest nightclub in Vegas. Many A-list celebrities are seen on any given day. The Terrace is the largest outdoor nightlife venue with great views. It is open year round. It is great in the spring and summer, but if you’re brave enough to stand out there in the wintertime, kudos to you. Cover charge is from $20 to $250 for VIP services.

Other venues are Jet at the Mirage, Asia at Planet Hollywood, Ghost Bar at the Palms, Tao at the Venetian and the list goes on.

If the nightlife is your thing, Vegas is your place. Your changes of running into celebrities are very high in Las Vegas (pictured: Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves at Moon Nightclub at the Palms).
